Tenerife

Tenerife is the largest of the seven islands of Canary Islands. Its area is 2,046 square kilometers. You can find the highest peak in all of Spain here and thus the Canary Islands Pico de Teide (3,717 m above sea level). This peak dominates the Parque Nacional del Teide. In Tenerife you will find exotic forests, sand dunes or rocky volcanic terrain. Lying on the same latitude as Sahara, Tenerife enjoys warm weather all year round. With its diversity, the island is a perfect place to relax on sunny beaches, but also for cycling, hiking and freediving. The warm and clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean allow freediving all year round. The water temperature ranges from 26 degrees in summer and autumn and around 18 degrees in winter. The volcanic origin of Tenerife is visible even underwater, with many caves and cliffs. The island is very diverse, while in the south there is a desert, just a few kilometers to the north you can walk through dense, green and cool forests and enjoy dramatic cliffs and stunning views.

Atlantis Freediving is located in the quiet village of Tabaiba, just 14 km from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The center itself is on the ground floor of the Jardin del Mar apartment complex and the training site is located in Tabaiba Bay, just 50 steps from the center door. Tabaiba Bay is protected from almost all directions, so there are no currents, the surface is always calm and provides perfect conditions for freediving, including stunning visibility. In a short swimming distance from the shore we can reach a depth of -20 m to -100 m. There is also a famous place for diving, famous for its well preserved wreck, which lies at the bottom at a depth of -30 meters.

The center has a nice classroom with plenty of seating and all available teaching materials, yoga mats for stretching and relaxation, outdoor siting area, hot shower, bathroom, space for rinsing and drying equipment, a space where you can comfortably store your equipment, access to the pool for static and dynamic training and SUP for rent.

The center offers to rent two 3-room apartments located in the same building, just above the center, with the sea view, fully equipped kitchen and within walking distance to supermarket and several restaurants placed in the town. Guests have free access to the local sport club (gym, swimming pool, tennis, bar and restaurant) and free wifi.
